My Places bar
1) The My Places bar is an area at the left side in some dialog boxes. You can use the My Places bar to specify a folder where you want to store your files for easier access.
2) Making changes to the My Places bar in any one dialog box causes the same changes to appear in other dialog boxes that have the My Places bar.
3) The My Places bar contains shortcuts to the My Recent Documents, Desktop, My Documents, My Computer, and My Network Places folders.
4) To add a shortcut to the My Places bar click the Microsoft Office Button , and then click Save As.
5) In the Save in list, click the drive, folder, or Internet location for which you want to create a My Places bar shortcut.
6) Right-click a blank space in the My Places bar below the existing shortcuts, and then click Add folder name. Your new shortcut appears at the bottom of the My Places bar.
Customize Outlook Today
7) The Outlook Today page provides a preview of your day. Here you can see your appointments, your tasks, and newest e-mail messages you have.
8) You can set this page to be the first page that opens when you start Outlook, and you can change the way Outlook Today appears.
9) To change how many appointments appears In the Navigation Pane, click Outlook Today.
10) If you use a Personal Folders file (.pst) Data file that stores your messages and other items on your computer. You can assign a .pst file to be the default delivery location for e-mail messages.
11) You can use a .pst to organize and back up items for safekeeping as your mailbox, you'll see name of the .pst.
12) On the Outlook Today page, click Customize Outlook Today.
13) In the Calendar area, enter a number of days. The appointments that take place within this time span will appear on the Outlook Today page under Calendar.
14) Click Save Changes.
15) To Make Outlook Today your default page, clicks Outlook Today In the Navigation Pane.
16) On the Outlook Today page, click Customize Outlook Today.
17) In the Startup area, select the When starting, go directly to Outlook Today check box.
18) Click Save Changes.

Import and Export
19) Go to File Menu. Select the Import and Export menu Item.

20) Select the Export to a file option and press the Next button.

21) Select Microsoft Excel 2003-97 as destination file format.
22) Select Contacts as the Outlook folder to export to. Press the Next button.
23) Assign a name to the file. Press the Next button.
24) Select the fields and contents to export. Press the Map custom Fields button.

25) Review and accept the field's mapping. Press the OK button.
26) Press the Finish button to start the data export.
